Hi, I'm Yui!
初めまして、ゆいです!
¡Hola, me llamo Yui!
I'm a Japanese-born immigrant living part-time in Washington D.C. My mother raised my two brothers and me in the Midwest. Even as a young child, I saw grave disparities in my own community and I couldn't understand why a single mother had to work three jobs, why some children had to worry about their next meals, or why rent was so expensive for our 2-bedroom apartment. These questions led me to find my passion for supporting and uplifting underserved and underrepresented communities.
My work is centered on empowering communities through
strategic partnerships, social policy initiatives, and monitoring and evaluation.
I partner with visionary leaders and organizations to spark and sustain
social impact in local and global communities.
With experience in international development, social policy, and social impact strategy,
I have advised Fortune 100 companies, civil society organizations,
and public sector agencies on creating meaningful change.
My passion lies in identifying innovative public-private or tripartite partnerships that enable corporations, nonprofits, and governments to collaborate for the greater good.
Interested in working together? Let's explore how we can make an impact together.
Yui is fluent in English and Japanese, and intermediate level in Spanish.
